BUFFALO COLLISION RESULTS IN 4 PEOPLE SUFFERING INJURIES

by | Feb 19, 2018 | Car Accidents, Firm News

Distracted drivers are some of the most dangerous. Among them are people who don’t pay attention to the roads because they’re focused on eating, feeling drowsy or are sending text messages. Others are those who look away at a fancy home on the side of the road or who are daydreaming. While some of these actions seems relatively harmless, they can result in serious crashes when they take place at the wrong time.

For example, consider this case. Four people had to be taken to the hospital after a crash in Buffalo, according to the news. The crash happened at approximately 7:00 a.m., in Buffalo when a driver failed to stop at a red light, entering the intersection of Highway 25 and County Road 138 at full speed.

The 56-year-old man who failed to yield collided with another vehicle driven by a 42-year-old woman. She had three passengers in her vehicle: a 3-year-old, 4-year-old and 8-year-old. All of the people in the vehicle had to be taken to Buffalo Hospital, but fortunately, none suffered life-threatening injuries.

In this case, the entire crash could have been avoided if one driver had stopped at an appropriate time. It’s not clear yet why he didn’t, but in many cases, it is a result of distractions, mechanical failures or other issues. Regardless of the cause, it’s important for you to know that you have a right to pursue compensation if you’re injured. Medical expenses and lost wages add up, and you deserve to have them covered by the person responsible while you recover.
